One of the most important part of any event is the venue. Its style, décor and even location can greatly influence the mood of the event. One of the newest events in the area is The Shores of Turtle Creek in Spring Grove, Illinois which is in the Chain of Lakes region of northern Illinois. The Shores of Turtle Creek includes 32 lush acres of mature trees, wildflowers, 17 ponds and of course Turtle Creek. Facilities include a 10,000 square foot, two-story lodge as well as the Annex which is a 4,500 square foot barn building.
The reason for my attendance was their open house celebration for the region’s party planning and event service industry on August 21. The event featuring Turtle Creek’s facilities was co-sponsored by Frank Event Design, Tasty Catering, Chicago Party Rental, Cort Event Furnishings, Clowning Around, Anna Held Floral, With You in Mind, Artists, Events and Entertainment and of course myself. The event went off without a hitch and was quite stunning. Themed buffet stations were set up featuring all of the seasons and a variety of foods and specialty drinks. We had Santa, a tarot card reader and magician entertaining over 100 people for the evening.
If you are looking for a bit more secluded, natural setting for your event, do consider The Shores of Turtle Creek and visit www.shoresofturtlecreek.com.
